Jonathan Ferris graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 1999 with Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement.  He began working as a state trooper for the Minnesota State Patrol in 2000.  He was promoted to technical sergeant in 2007, serving as a district investigator for the East Metro District of the State Patrol.  In 2010, he was hired as an agent at the Minnesota Commerce Fraud Bureau, and was promoted to supervisory special agent in December 2012.  He was a 2013-2014 Policy Fellow at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, Center for the Study of Politics and Governance.  He has significant experience conducting state and federal white collar crime investigations involving theft, forgery, insurance fraud, securities fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, and money laundering.
